Traditional Punting Company

This Easter, join the Traditional Punting Company, on the River Cam for a 50 minute chauffeured punt tour with the whole family.

Book a private or shared chauffeured punt tour along the college backs and add on our Easter themed scavenger hunt & activity booklet, priced at just £2.50 per child, to your Cambridge punting experience.

The Easter scavenger hunt itself has 2 parts. The first part of the booklet is an easter theme activity section designed to be completed during the punting tour along the river cam, including dot-to-dot, Easter egg mazes and so much more. The next part is around the city; following clues, searching for seasonal answers as well as looking for Easter eggs as you go!

Once the Easter scavenger hunt has been successfully completed there will be a sweet treat waiting for your little ones at Hardy’s sweetshop, to take home with you from your visit to Cambridge this Easter.

When you’re planning things to do over the Easter break, it is always useful to have some rainy day activities up your sleeve – and Bounce Indoor Trampoline Park in Peterborough is a great choice. It is an indoor attraction, so it allows children to do something fun and active, even if it is raining.

South Angle Farm Park

South Angle Farm Park is a family run petting zoo and farm park in Soham. Every school holiday has a different theme, with a programme of events and activities for children. At this time of year the park is filled with new baby chicks, lambs, and ducklings, so there are lots of new animals to meet. Children can join in with lamb feeding, rabbit handling, and other Spring inspired activities.

Si5 Spy Missions

Si5 Spy Missions in Cambridge offer an escape room experience with exciting spy themed interactive puzzles and quests. Suitable for families and groups, work together to solve the puzzles and win the quest within the time limit. The guides will tailor your mission to your group’s skill level to ensure you have a great time.

Sacrewell Farm

Sacrewell Farm in Peterborough is home to rare breed horses, pigs, and lambs, as well as smaller animals such as rabbits, guinea pigs, quails, and chickens. For little ones there is a Playbarn, where children up to age 12 can run around and burn off some energy – or if the weather is nice, you can take them to the outdoor play park, bramble tunnel, or willow dome. Other facilities include an evergreen maze, and the Story Time Bookshop where you can buy, donate, and swap second hand books. There are often events taking place at Sacrewell Farm, so it can be worth checking before you go to see what’s on.

Planet Ice

Fancy doing something a bit different? Ice skating at Planet Ice is a fun activity to do as a family. There are often special offers for family tickets during the Easter holidays, so it’s the perfect time to go. If you prefer to ‘supervise’ (watch from a safe distance), you can make use of the on-site food and drink facilities, which include Lavazza coffee. When everyone has finished skating, warm up with a hot chocolate, hot dog, or Papa John’s pizza.

VR Happy

If your children enjoy technology and gaming, they will be in their element at VR Happy. This virtual reality gaming experience is something a little more interactive, and the variety of different games and difficulty levels makes it suitable for a wide range of age groups. You can also book two or more arenas so everyone can join in a larger multiplayer game.
